At Triple River Construction in Washington's Tri-City area, we're dedicated to transforming land with intention. Our expertise lies in river restoration, laying the foundation for infrastructure while renewing the earth's natural balance. It's more than just shifting soil—it's about constructing responsibly and mending the disruptions. We're proud to excel at both, on a grand scale.

River Restorations
River restoration is a specialized field that we excel in. Unlike many civil construction companies that tend to avoid working with water, we thrive in these environments.
River Condition Assessments
River condition assessments gauge the effectiveness of a river and the health of aquatic and terrestrial species dependent on it. At Triple River Construction, these evaluations include surveying river cross sections, measuring sediment sizes, and calculating key geomorphic parameters related to the river's pattern and profile.
Floodplain Management
When a FEMA map shows a floodplain on a property, owners need to be aware of development restrictions. Triple River Construction offers services including Elevation Certificates and hydraulic flood studies for FEMA map amendments. Our team includes two Certified Floodplain Managers who stay current through conferences and training. For more information on our flood studies in FEMA-regulated zones, please scroll down or use the menu to the right.
Erosion Protection
Flowing water causes "scour," leading to erosion of streambeds and undermining bridges. At Triple Rivers Construction, we use hydraulic engineering to predict scour impacts during floods and apply fluvial geomorphology principles to design measures that mitigate scour effects on bridge abutments and riverbanks.

Civil Construction
River Restorations
Triple River Construction is a civil construction firm specializing in water resources and river restoration projects. Since 2023, we have been involved with various rivers, arroyos, wetlands, and irrigation systems throughout Oregon and Washington. We manage river restoration projects from initial feasibility assessments to securing permits and completing construction.
Our professional team includes certified contractors, floodplain managers, and skilled aquatic biologists. In the 21st century, effective river engineering demands expertise in water law and floodplain regulations, fluvial geomorphology and Natural Channel Design techniques, water quality standards and aquatic biology, riparian plant ecosystems, and the essentials of hydrology, hydraulic engineering, and sediment transport.
By integrating these diverse technical fields, we deliver ecologically responsible designs that operate sustainably within today's regulatory environment.
River Restorations
At Triple Rivers Construction, we hold a deep appreciation for rivers and understand their vital role in the semi-arid landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. These rivers, along with the occasional wetland, are precious resources essential for many living beings. Most of our river projects start with a clear objective, such as addressing an eroding streambank, restoring an abandoned headgate, improving a poor fishery, or helping a watershed recover from a forest fire. Our team at Triple Rivers Construction is adept at designing and building solutions to tackle these challenges.
While working on these projects, we also consider a variety of habitat and vegetation conditions in and around the river, always seeking ways to enhance the overall health of the ecosystem at the reach scale. Our guiding principle is to support the wellbeing of the river and its surrounding environment whenever possible. We are committed to not designing projects that enhance one river function at the cost of another. This approach doesn't necessarily mean higher costs, but it does require careful attention to design details during construction. Indeed, the details are crucial.
